Baldwin House, a residence hall at Smith College is located at 15 Bedford Terrace in Northampton, Massachusetts, United States. It was built in 1908. ==History== Baldwin House was built in 1908. The house is named for William H. Baldwin Jr., whose wife Ruth Bowles Baldwin was an alumna of the class of 1887. The couple was actively involved with Smith College. Ruth Baldwin served as President Seelye's secretary and then the Alumna Trustee and later on the Board of Trustees. Mr. Baldwin gave $200,000 to the college to contribute to the endowment and to aid with the construction of John M.
